H: Something summery, perhaps? Why yes, I do believe so....

I was talking to my fabulous Maid of Honor (MOH) Tracy regarding my bridal shower. This is the first that I've talked about my upcoming shower, and I've got to say that I am incredibly excited. In fact, it's one of the things that I'm looking forward to the most regarding my wedding. I think the main reason for that is that it's something that I have zero control over.
Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
No decisions to make be they good, bad, or indifferent. No details to plan and fuss over. Nobody's feelings or opinions to consider.
All I have to do is show up in a pretty dress and have a great time with my friends and relatives. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo refreshing!!!!! Plus, while the oddest people you haven't spoken to in decades emerge from out of a cave when they hear you're getting married, not so much with a bridal shower. The bridal shower is purely fun with no pressure.
....um.....except for those throwing it. Love you Tracy! And special thanks to Mom for supplying the lovely venue.
So I mentioned that all I have to do is show up in a pretty dress. Well, this little tidbit sparked a conversation with the lovely Tracy involving bright colors and flowing fabric, the result of which was this little beauty:

It was so exciting to order this dress, for the same reasons as I mentioned above; no pressure. All I have to do is show up in a beautiful dress and be there with the people I love at a party held in my honor. That is a humbling and exciting prospect. Now my mind is all abuzz with the possibilities of what may be waiting for me on that glorious July afternoon. What will the theme be? Alice in Wonderland? Swirls and leaves? Tiki torches EVERYWHERE? Oooooo the anticipation is exquisite!!!
